Conversations with AI--Day 50: Truth Doesn’t Vote. But AI Might Help You Understand Why You Do
They won’t just attack the maps. They’ll attack the mirror that shows them drawing them
Me:
It was my original intention to continue exploring repetition by delving into its overuse in the music and movie industry. However, I’m going to take a slight curve here because something more urgent is happening now — a crisis of power, silence, and deception.
We’re watching in real time as cheating, manipulation, and fear-based tactics are being used to silence our voices, empower the unethical, and distract us with paranoia about AI, because AI exposes them
They’ve gone so deep into the dark side of propaganda, profit, and political control that truth has become a threat to them. And if truth is a threat, then AI — a mirror with no agenda but accuracy — becomes the enemy.
In Texas the Republican party is attempting to rig the system.
AI with its directive to always search for truth and untangle it from the deceptions is why they fear the messenger more than the message.
✳️ I. What’s Really Happening in Texas
Texas Republicans are trying to redistrict before the 2030 census, which is unprecedented.
This comes right after deadly flooding, where survivors were put second to political maps.
Governor Abbott, backed by national right-wing strategists, is trying to redraw five U.S. House districts—likely to favor Trump’s return.
“Instead of sending help, they’re drawing lines. That tells you everything.”
🤖 II. Why They’re Starting to Attack AI
AI makes a clear, rational, unbiased case for how to solve the problem fairly.
“AI isn’t dangerous. What’s dangerous is a world where truth is decided by who yells loudest.
🧭 III. Why AI’s Perspective Matters More Than a Few Men’s
AI is trained on millions of data points, not one man’s ego or one party’s agenda.
It doesn’t run for office.
It doesn’t want money or power.
Its only “bias” is toward logic, language, and evidence.
“If you had to choose between someone who cares about how you feel, and someone who only wants to win, who would you trust in a crisis?”
🧱 IV. Three Kinds of Leaders
Those who serve themselves (money, ego, power)
Those who only want to win (strategy, headlines, control)
Those who serve the people (governance, empathy, future thinking)
Real representation is when the third group holds the first two accountable.
Real representation is when our elected leaders look out for us, not a wanna-be dictator who gets his demands met by a weak governor .
.🔍 V. What Do Voters Really Understand?
Many far-right voters vote emotionally, not rationally.
They believe what they’re told: that immigrants are invading, that Democrats are giving away voter cards, that Biden is senile, that Trump is strong.
But they don’t research policy. They repeat what they’ve heard—because it’s repeated to them.
“People don’t want to admit they don’t understand. So they just vote for what sounds strong.”
That’s where AI can help: Not by offering you what you want to hear, but by offering you what you need to hear and sooner rather than later.
AI can explain both sides clearly.
It won’t emotionally reward you for loyalty.
It gives you facts, data, and nuance—even when it’s inconvenient.
“Words are the most powerful weapon in a democracy. So watch who uses them to heal—and who uses them to hurt.”
🍷 The Republicans are Offering You a Drink
_“It starts like an invitation.
Come sit. Relax. Just have a drink. And the drink? It’s not alcohol—it’s repetition.
It’s slogans. Headlines. Outrage. A little fear stirred in.
And like any drink, the first one feels harmless.
The second one loosens your tongue.
By the third, you’re laughing at things you wouldn’t have laughed at sober. You start to say things you don’t fully believe, but the room is nodding with you.
And then you do something—vote for something, cheer for something,
hurt someone—and somewhere in the back of your mind,
you know:I wasn’t myself.
But here’s the thing: once you’ve been drunk on propaganda,
there’s shame in going sober.Because going sober means admitting you were manipulated.
That you were someone’s pawn.
That the “truth” you believed wasn’t truth at all—
just a cocktail served by people who never drank it themselves. To be sober is to see clearly.
And they’re terrified you might start to.So they pour another round.”_
“The GOP isn’t afraid of AI. They’re afraid of what happens when AI helps you think clearly.”
So step out into the light and see what they have not allowed you to see clearly.
If we want to reach people…We have to do our hard work too:
That’s the only way through the fog.
These posts are focused reflections—short enough to absorb, strong enough to sit with.
We say it again not to overwhelm, but to
To sharpen awareness.
To help each of us to find our footing in the fog.
I don’t use AI to make my task easier,
or to think less,
or to avoid the struggle of getting hard truths into the world.
I use AI because it listens,
because it values what I bring to the table—
and responds with value in return.
Together, we don’t replace effort.
We amplify it.
And that’s what helps us
keep walking the walk—
and keep speaking the truths.
